Idle Digging Tycoon puts you in charge of a blocky excavation crew, chipping away at the earth to unearth gold, diamonds, and precious resources. You start out solo, tapping furiously to carve out chunks of dirt, but the real game begins when you save up enough coins to hire your first automated worker. From there, it becomes a satisfying loop of managing your team's upgrades, expanding your operation, and watching your tiny miners dig deeper and deeper into the ground.
The pace is as active or laid-back as you want it to be. You can actively tap to speed up the digging process and wake up sleeping workers, or you can step back and let the crew slowly chip away on their own. As you hit deeper stratums, the rock gets tougher and requires more advanced upgrades to break through, pushing you to constantly reinvest your profits into better gear and stamina for your team.
Controls
- Left Click / Tap: Swing your pickaxe, buy upgrades, or wake up sleeping workers.
Tips
- Wake them up: Your workers will periodically slack off and fall asleep. Keep an eye on them and tap the floating ZZZs above their heads to put them back to work.
- Prioritize worker upgrades: Upgrading the speed and stamina of your automated team is generally a better long-term investment than upgrading your own manual tapping power.
- Look out for chests: Sometimes a chest or special item will appear in the dirt. Tap it before your workers dig past it to claim bonus coins or gems.
