House of Hazards is a local-multiplayer party game for up to four players, played on one keyboard split with a couple of gamepads. Each round drops everyone into the same house with a short list of chores to finish first — make toast, water the plant, take out the trash — and the twist is that finishing chores isn't the only way to win: every hazard in the house, from a falling light fixture to a swinging boxing glove, can be triggered by any player standing near it.
That turns a simple chore race into constant sabotage. You're rushing toward your next task while also watching whether the player next to you is about to yank a rug or drop a chandelier on your head. Getting hit knocks you out of the round for a few seconds, which is often enough for a slower rival to finish their chores and win outright. It plays best as a short, loud session with friends rather than something to grind alone.
Controls
Two players share a keyboard, and a third and fourth can join with gamepads.
- Player 1: A / D to move and pick a hazard, W to jump, S to crouch, grab a nearby player, or trigger a hazard
- Player 2: J / L to move and pick a hazard, I to jump, K to crouch, grab a nearby player, or trigger a hazard
- Player 3 & 4 (gamepad): left stick to move and pick a hazard, South button to jump, East button to crouch, grab, or trigger a hazard
Tips
- Standing near a hazard lets you trigger it on anyone else nearby — use that instead of chasing chores when a rival is close to finishing.
- Crouching doubles as both a dodge and a grab, so hold it near a doorway to catch someone trying to slip past.
- Some hazards reset and can be reused in the same round — don't assume a trap is spent just because you saw it go off once.
- If two players are fighting over the same hazard, it's often faster to just finish a chore instead.
It runs straight in the browser with nothing to install, which makes it an easy pick for a quick multiplayer round on a shared screen.
