Hex Color Idle is an idle game built around hexadecimal color codes instead of the usual coins or cookies. You drag to mix and produce colors, and with over 16,000 possible hex values to work through, there's always a slightly different shade to chase next.
Like most idle games, progress compounds on itself: what you earn buys talents that make future production faster, and once you've played long enough to build up a stockpile, you can reset the run for gold paint — a prestige currency that speeds up your next climb through the color list.
Controls
On desktop, drag with the left mouse button to move and mix a color. On mobile, double-tap to move a color into place.
Tips
- Don't be afraid to reset once your production has slowed down — gold paint carries forward and makes the next stretch faster.
- Spend on talents as soon as you can afford them; letting currency sit idle wastes the passive growth the genre is built around.
A good fit if you like idle games you can check in on for a minute at a time rather than ones that demand constant attention.
