Getaway Shootout drops two to four hopping, wobbling characters into a short obstacle course and asks one simple question: who reaches the getaway vehicle first? Movement runs on ragdoll-style physics rather than a normal walk cycle, so every jump, dive and body-slam takes a moment to line up, and that clumsiness is a big part of the fun.
Matches play out over quick rounds on a handful of different maps, each scattered with weapons like pistols, bats and grenades that spawn along the route. Snatching one and knocking a rival off balance before they reach the finish is just as important as good platforming, and a comfortable lead can vanish in a second to a well-timed dive tackle. It works as a couch-multiplayer game on one keyboard just as well as it does solo against bots filling the empty slots.
Controls
- Player 1: A/D to move, W to jump, S to dive
- Player 2: Left/Right arrow keys to move, Up to jump, Down to dive
Tips
- A dive tackle near a ledge can knock an opponent clean off the platform — save it for the edges rather than open ground.
- Grabbing a weapon before rushing the finish line usually beats sprinting unarmed into a chokepoint full of rivals.
- Up to four characters can compete at once; fill unused slots with bots if you're playing without friends.
It suits short, chaotic sessions more than long ones — a few rounds with friends or bots is usually enough to get a laugh out of the physics.
