Foosball puts a classic table-football set behind two rows of sliding rods. You control the blue side, nudging your goalkeeper, defenders, midfielders and striker up and down their rails to intercept the ball and line up a shot, while the red side pushes back the way. It plays fast and physical: the ball ricochets off the rods and walls at real angles, so most goals come from a well-timed deflection rather than a straight shot.

Two ways to play are on offer. Take on the computer through a short run of matches that gets tougher as you go — the target score and the CPU's reaction speed both climb level by level — or skip the ladder for a same-keyboard Friendly match against a second player, first to a set number of goals.

Controls

• Player 1 (blue): W to slide your rods up, S to slide down
• Player 2 (red) / CPU takeover in 2-player games: Up Arrow to slide up, Down Arrow to slide down
• Spacebar — serve the ball back into play after a goal

Tips

• Move a whole rod, not just one figure — lining up your midfielders early gives you a second chance if the first stick misses.
• Angled shots off the side wall are harder for the goalkeeper rod to read than a shot straight down the middle.
• On the CPU ladder, the win target and the computer's speed both increase together, so bank easy goals early in a match before the pace picks up.

It suits a quick, single-session match — either a few rounds against increasingly sharp CPU opponents or a head-to-head Friendly game with someone sitting next to you.
