Five Nights at Freddy's 2 pulls away the security doors of the original game and leaves you completely exposed. As the new night guard at a revamped Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, you are sitting in a wide-open office with three entrances. To survive from midnight to 6 AM, you have to constantly manage a hostile roster of both new toy animatronics and the withered originals.

The pacing is aggressive and demands multitasking. Instead of shutting doors to stay safe, you are equipped with a hollowed-out Freddy Fazbear head. Throwing this mask on the moment an animatronic enters the room is your primary defense, tricking their facial recognition sensors into leaving you alone.

Controls and Mechanics

The game relies entirely on mouse interactions. Hover over the bottom tabs to bring up your camera monitor or equip the Freddy mask. Click on different rooms to check the feeds.

• The Mask: Throw it on immediately if someone is in your office or the right air vent.
• The Flashlight: Press Ctrl (or tap the hall on mobile) to flash light down the main corridor. This is the only way to reset Foxy, who ignores the mask completely.
• The Music Box: Open camera 11 (the Prize Corner) and click to wind the music box. If this ever winds down completely, the Puppet will leave its box and instantly end your run.

Survival Tips

• Find a rhythm: A reliable loop is to check lights, pull up the camera, wind the music box, drop the camera, immediately put on the mask, take it off, check lights, and repeat.
• Foxy is relentless: If Foxy is in the hallway, flash him multiple times before checking the cameras. Do not forget about him while dealing with threats.
• Ignore the static: You do not need to check every camera room. Your priority is winding the music box in Cam 11 and occasionally checking the vents. The rest of the cameras are mostly a distraction.

FNAF 2 is a frantic exercise in panic management. The steep difficulty curve means every second counts, and one missed audio cue or a fraction of a second delay in pulling down the mask can cost you the night.
