Dunkers is a physics-based, 1-on-1 basketball game where control is beautifully chaotic. Instead of running precision plays, your character bounces, spins, and flails their arms wildly in an attempt to snatch the ball and slam it into the opponent's hoop. Every shot is a battle against the game's bouncy gravity and unpredictable ragdoll movement, leading to hilarious scrambles and unexpected game-winning shots.
You can face off against a challenging CPU opponent in career and arcade modes, or share your keyboard for intense local two-player matches. Since only direct slam dunks count toward your score, you must actively drive toward the net while constantly keeping your arms swinging to shield the ball or strip it from your opponent's grasp.
Controls
Dunkers features a simple, split-keyboard layout for intense local matches:
- Player 1: Use the Z key to jump backward and the X key to jump forward and swing your arms.
- Player 2: Use the Left Arrow key to jump backward and the Right Arrow key to jump forward and swing your arms.
Tips to Win
- Master the Swing: Your character's arms rotate automatically. Watch the rhythm of the swing and time your leaps forward so you strike the ball at the peak of the rotation.
- Use Defensive Bounces: If your opponent is driving toward your hoop, jump backward (using Z or Left Arrow) to position yourself directly under the net and block their dunk.
- Control Your Momentum: Repeatedly tapping the forward key makes you bounce faster, but it also makes you harder to control. Take brief pauses to steady your player when the ball is loose.
