This is the pixelated T-Rex runner that Chrome shows when you lose your internet connection, playable here without needing to unplug your Wi-Fi first. A tiny grey dinosaur trots across a flat desert, and your only job is to keep it alive as cacti and low-flying pterodactyls come at it faster and faster.
There's no story and no levels — just one lane, one runner, and a speed curve that keeps climbing the longer you survive. Clip a cactus or fly into a pterodactyl and it's game over, with your distance saved as a high score to beat next time. The night-mode inversion that kicks in periodically is a nice touch, but it doesn't change how the game plays.
Controls
- Space or Up Arrow — jump over ground obstacles
- Down Arrow — duck under pterodactyls while running
- Tap the screen — jump, on touch devices
Tips
- Tap jump instead of holding it — a shorter hop clears low cacti without leaving you exposed in the air for the next obstacle.
- Duck early for pterodactyls; they fly at three different heights, and only one of those heights actually requires ducking.
- Cactus clusters come in unpredictable widths — watch the gap, not just the first cactus in a group.
It's built for short bursts rather than long sessions: quick to start, quick to lose, and just enough of a skill curve to make "one more run" genuinely tempting.
