A comet has just slammed into the ground behind your tower, and it did not come alone. Waves of hungry, blood-soaked monsters are climbing out of the crater toward you, and the only thing standing between them and your tower is a stack of upgrades you have to buy fast enough to keep up.
Day of Meat is an idle tower defense game: your hero fires automatically, so there is no aiming or shooting to manage. Instead you spend the whole session tapping through an upgrade tree, pumping resources into new weapons, extra projectiles, defensive facilities and health regeneration between waves, then watching whether your build actually holds the line against what shows up next.
Controls
- Click or tap an upgrade to research it
- Click or tap the speed toggle to fast-forward the game
Tips
- Put early resources into health regeneration before offense — surviving a wave matters more than ending it a few seconds sooner.
- Use the speed toggle once your upgrades are ahead of the current wave, then slow back down when a rough one is coming so you can react to what unlocks.
- Spread investment across weapons and facilities rather than maxing one path — later waves punish a defense with a single obvious hole.
It plays well as a short, low-pressure session you can dip into for a few minutes at a time, since the hero handles the action and your only job is deciding what to buy next. Works straight in the browser on desktop, phone or tablet — nothing to install.
