Dadish 3D takes the radish dad from the original side-scrolling Dadish games and drops him into a full 3D world. His kids have wandered off after clicking a sketchy pop-up ad, and it is up to Dadish to hop across forest paths and beach platforms to bring them home, one level at a time.
The game is split into five worlds of ten levels each, so a session can be as short as clearing one stage or as long as pushing through a whole world in one sitting. Movement is simple and precise rather than twitchy: most of the challenge comes from lining up jumps over gaps and hazards, not from fast reflexes, which makes it easy to pick up and just as easy to put down.
Controls
- W, A, S, D or the arrow keys — move and steer the camera
- Spacebar — jump
Tips
- The camera turns as you move, so tap a direction briefly first to see where a jump actually lands before committing to it.
- Diagonal movement is available — cutting corners on platforms is often safer than lining up a straight run and jump.
- If a level has a boss section, expect it to test the same jumping and dodging skills as the level before it rather than introduce new controls.
It's a good fit for players who liked the earlier Dadish games and want more of the same puzzle-platforming, just viewed from a 3D camera instead of the side.
