Classic Solitaire is a straightforward take on Klondike, the card game most people already know from Windows. A shuffled deck deals into seven tableau columns, each topped by one face-up card, with the rest of the deck sitting in a draw pile at the top. The goal is to move every card into four foundation piles, sorted by suit from Ace up to King.
You clear a path to those foundations by rebuilding the tableau in descending order with alternating colors, flipping over hidden cards as you empty the piles above them, and pulling fresh cards from the draw pile whenever you run out of moves. It is the same patient, one-decision-at-a-time pacing the genre is known for: no timer forcing your hand, just working out which card unlocks the next.
Controls
Click or tap a card to pick it up, then click or tap the pile you want to drop it on — dragging works too. The game highlights the smallest playable card, so this build is friendly to players who are still learning which moves are legal.
Tips
- Uncover face-down cards before chasing foundation moves — a buried card can block an entire column later.
- Don't empty a column too early just to open a slot; an empty column is worth more with a King ready to fill it.
- Work through the draw pile fully before assuming you're stuck — a useful card is often a few draws away.
Runs on desktop and mobile with nothing to install, and suits a slower, one-hand-free session as much as a quick round on a break.
