About Cave Blast

Cave Blast drops a little piglet into a dark cavern with nothing but a jetpack and a pistol, and turns the whole thing into a twin-stick shooter you steer with one hand. You fly rather than walk — tap a direction and the pig thrusters over, under and around waves of cave monsters while its gun fires on its own at whatever's closest. The whole point is staying alive as the swarm thickens, not landing perfect shots.

Runs are built to be quick and replayable: each one throws a fresh mob of enemies at you, and between waves you pick up strange weapons and pets that change how you fight. You can also choose to play as something than the pig — a dog, a vampire or an elf are all options — and pair up with a sidekick like a penguin or a bee, or take a special power instead. It's less about mastering one loadout and more about seeing what a new run hands you.

Controls

Move with the arrow keys or WASD — your character flies toward wherever you're steering and shoots automatically at the nearest enemy, so there's no separate aim or fire button. On a touchscreen, tap and hold in the direction you want to fly.

Tips

  • Since aiming is automatic, focus your input entirely on positioning — kiting enemies into open space keeps you from getting boxed in.
  • Pick up new weapons and pets as they appear; a run that stalls on the starting gear runs out of steam fast.
  • Try a different starting character or sidekick each run — the pig-plus-pistol combo is only one of several starting setups.

Cave Blast FAQ

How do I move and shoot in Cave Blast?
Steer with the arrow keys or WASD to fly toward that direction; your character shoots automatically at the nearest enemy, so there's no separate aim or fire button.
Can I play Cave Blast on mobile?
Yes. On a touchscreen, tap and hold in the direction you want to fly and the auto-fire handles shooting for you.
Do I have to play as the pig?
No. You can pick a dog, vampire or elf instead of the pig, and pair them with a sidekick like a penguin or bee, or take a special power instead.
What happens when I die in a run?
Each run throws progressively larger waves of cave monsters at you; once you're overwhelmed the run ends and you start fresh with a new mix of enemies.
