Castle of Chaos, credited to Arcade Bomb, is a mouse-and-drag defense game: monsters come for your castle, and you fight them off with a roster of unlockable heroes rather than a keyboard. There's no running or platforming here — everything happens through clicking to aim and dragging tools into place.
You earn gold as you clear levels, and spend it to unlock more heroes — including named fighters like Dutch, Harrigan, Johnny and the Ranger — each with its own reload speed, so who you have active changes how a level plays out. Gold also unlocks placeable tools: mines, a freeze trap, and shields to block or slow whatever's coming at your walls. There are dozens of levels, each mixing up the monsters you have to hold off.
Controls
- Mouse or touch — click/tap to aim and fire, drag to place mines, freeze traps and shields
Tips
- Unlock a trap like the freeze or a mine before pushing further down the level list — they cover gaps a hero alone can't.
- Heroes reload at different speeds, so switch to whichever one you've unlocked that suits the level giving you trouble.
- Save gold for a shield if a level's monsters are getting through your defenses faster than your hero can drop them.
It suits short defense runs rather than one long session — a level or two at a time while you unlock the next hero or tool.
