Bullet Bros throws out the usual platformer rulebook: there's no jump button and no running. Every bit of movement comes from your gun's recoil — you aim, hold to charge and rotate, then release to fire, and the kickback launches you across the level. Landing a shot on an enemy doesn't just clear them out; it also decides where you fly next.
The trick is not breaking your rhythm. Blasting through enemies back-to-back keeps a kill streak going and keeps you airborne, while missing or hesitating drops you to the ground and stalls your run. New guns unlock as you progress, and since each one recoils differently, the way you move through a level changes with whatever weapon you're carrying.
Controls
Hold your mouse button or Spacebar to aim and rotate, then release to fire — the shot's recoil is what launches you through the air.
Tips
- Time your release for when you're aimed at an enemy, not just when you feel like shooting — a miss wastes the recoil that would have carried you forward.
- Chain kills without touching the ground to keep your streak alive; breaking momentum usually costs more time than a clean run through.
- Pay attention to how a new gun recoils before relying on it — some launch you further or at a steeper angle than the one you're used to.
It plays instantly in the browser with nothing to install, so a level or two is an easy way to fill a short break.
