Bloons Super Monkey is Ninja Kiwi's arcade spin-off from the Bloons Tower Defense world, turning the series' hero monkey into a one-monkey shooter. Instead of placing towers, you fly the Super Monkey around the top of the screen and let him fire automatically at waves of balloons drifting up from below.
The whole game is built around aim and economy. You never touch a fire button — the monkey shoots on his own, so every move you make is really an aiming decision, weaving between incoming Bloons while lining up shots on the ones worth popping first. Bloons that get past you can be worse than a miss, and popping them drops Blops, the currency you spend between waves on better weapons. Fifteen waves across five stages steadily raise the pressure, introducing tougher balloon types — including a Glass Bloon, a UFO Bloon, a Golden Bloon and a Mini MOAB — that your starting gear can't pop until you've upgraded into something that can.
Controls
- Move the mouse to steer the Super Monkey and aim
- Left-click to interact with menus and in-game UI
- Esc to open the upgrade menu during a wave
Tips
- Spend Blops as soon as you can afford a useful upgrade rather than banking them — a wave with the wrong weapon for its Bloon types is much harder than it needs to be
- Watch for Bloons that shrug off your current shots; that's your cue to check the upgrade menu for something built to pop that layer
- Positioning matters as much as firepower — hang back from the bottom of the screen to buy yourself more reaction time against fast or erratic Bloons
It runs straight in the browser with nothing to install, and its short, wave-based structure makes it an easy pick for a few quick rounds of balloon-popping between games.
