About Bird Sort Puzzle

Bird Sort Puzzle is a color-sorting brain teaser dressed up as an aviary. Branches around a tropical mountainside hold a jumble of cockatiels, parrots and toucans, all mixed together, and your job is to give every branch a single species before you run out of moves.

Each tap moves the topmost bird on a branch onto another branch, but only if that branch is empty or already topped by the same kind of bird. Plan a few moves ahead and a branch empties itself out; get it wrong and you can box a bird in with no legal branch left to send it to. Later levels add more branches and denser mixes, so the puzzle stays sharp well past the first few screens.

Controls

Left-click a branch to pick up its top bird, then click the branch you want to send it to. On phone or tablet, tap instead of clicking. No keyboard is used.

Tips

  • Clear a branch completely before shuffling more birds onto it — an empty branch is your only truly flexible move.
  • Look for a branch that's one bird away from a matched set before touching branches that are still fully mixed.
  • If a bird looks stuck, scan every branch for a same-species match rather than assuming you're out of options — the fix is often a branch you haven't looked at yet.

It's a quiet, no-timer puzzle that suits short breaks as easily as a longer sit-down session, and it runs straight in the browser with nothing to install.

Bird Sort Puzzle FAQ

How do I move a bird?
Left-click (or tap on mobile) the branch holding the bird you want to move, then click the branch you want to move it to. You can only place a bird on an empty branch or one already topped by the same species.
What happens if I get stuck?
If no branch has a matching top bird and no branch is empty, that puzzle is unsolvable and you'll need to restart the level rather than continue.
Can I play Bird Sort Puzzle on my phone?
Yes, the game runs in mobile browsers with tap controls, in addition to click controls on desktop.
Is there a time limit?
No, there's no timer or move counter forcing your hand — you can take as long as you like to plan each move.
