Bearsus is a fast-paced, minimalist 2D fighting game that pits heavy-hitting grizzly wrestlers against each in chaotic ring matches. Developed by ARF Game Studio, the game strips away complex button combinations to deliver a pure test of timing, positioning, and spacing. Playable solo or with a friend on the same screen, it offers a fresh, humorous take on the traditional brawler genre using a deceptively simple two-button control setup.
Each round is a tense battle of baiting and countering where you must carefully time your jumps and attacks. With a roster of eight different wrestling bears—each featuring distinct speed, weight, and movement properties—you must master the physics-based momentum to push your opponent out of bounds or knock them down. The action is quick and unpredictable, making it perfect for quick casual sessions or competitive local duels.
Game Controls
Bearsus is built entirely around a two-button layout. You can play using either the keyboard or touch controls on mobile.
- Move & Jump: Press A or D (Player 1) / Left or Right Arrow (Player 2).
- Attack: Double-tap A or D (Player 1) / Left or Right Arrow (Player 2).
- Double Jump: Press both direction buttons together (A + D or Left + Right Arrow).
- Aerial Attack: Tap A or D (or the arrow keys) while performing a double jump mid-air.
Game Modes
- Arcade Mode: Fight your way through a series of five CPU-controlled bears to claim the championship belt and unlock new character colors.
- 2-Player Mode: Challenge a friend to a local match on the same keyboard for classic head-to-head multiplayer fun.
- Endless Mode: Test your survival skills by defeating as many consecutive opponents as possible with your health carrying over between rounds.
Tips for Aspiring Wrestlers
- Bait and Punish: Because defensive blocks are limited, focus on spacing. Lure your opponent into initiating a jump or attack, step back to make them miss, and immediately counter-attack.
- Learn Character Weight: The eight wrestling bears have different weight class attributes. Lighter bears move faster and jump higher but are easily knocked back, while heavier bears can absorb more pressure.
- Perfect the Double Jump: Double jumping is your best way to reposition and escape corners. Use the aerial attack at the apex of your jump to surprise opponents from above.
