About Robot Unicorn Attack

Robot Unicorn Attack is a one-button endless runner where a chrome-plated unicorn gallops across a neon horizon toward its own inevitable death, set to a looping swell of "Always" by Erasure. You don't steer left or right — the unicorn always runs forward at a fixed pace, and your entire job is timing two moves: jump and dash.

A single tap jumps, a second tap in the air triggers a double jump, and tapping once more starts a forward dash that also works as an attack, letting the unicorn spear through stars and fairies in its path for bonus points. Landing on floating platforms, clearing gaps, and dashing through star clusters all build your score, but one bad landing against a cliff edge or a downward-plunging star ends the run. You get three lives, shown as rainbows, before it's over.

Controls

  • Click, Spacebar, or the Up arrow key — jump (tap again in mid-air for a double jump)
  • Tap a third time while airborne — dash forward, piercing obstacles and stars

Tips

  • Dash through clusters of stars rather than jumping over them — it's worth more points and keeps your momentum going.
  • Time your double jump for the peak of a gap rather than the edge of a platform, so you have room left to dash if you land short.
  • Downward-facing star formations are a warning to dash immediately rather than jump — jumping into them usually ends the run.
  • Chase distance over cautious play; the score rewards how far you get more than how carefully you collect every star.

It's a short, replayable arcade run best suited to quick sessions — a couple of minutes at a time to beat your last distance, rather than one long sitting.

Robot Unicorn Attack FAQ

How do you play Robot Unicorn Attack?
Tap once to jump, tap again in the air for a double jump, and tap a third time to dash forward through stars for bonus points. The unicorn always runs forward on its own.
What are the controls?
Click, press Spacebar, or press the Up arrow key. There's no left or right movement — every input is a jump or a dash.
How many lives do you get?
Three, shown as rainbows. Crashing into a cliff edge or a hazard costs a life, and the run ends when they're gone.
Does dashing do anything besides move faster?
Yes — dashing lets the unicorn pierce through stars and fairies in its path, scoring points it would otherwise have to jump over.
