Skateboard Hero is a downhill skating game built around an amateur Olympic-style event: you drop in at the top of a slope and ride to the bottom, chaining grinds and jumps for points along the way. It's from b10b Games, the studio behind one-button "Hero" titles like Stock Car Hero and Superbike Hero.
The run itself is short and fast. You're racing skaters down the same hill, weaving between lanes to grab speed boosts and dodge potholes while landing tricks off every rail and ramp you can reach. Points come from stringing moves into combos rather than just reaching the bottom cleanly, and the medals you earn from a good run carry over to unlock upgrades for the next one.
Controls
One input does everything: press Space, click, or tap to jump. Time it right off a ledge or rail and you'll grind instead of just landing, which is where the real combo points come from.
Tips
- Jump into rails and ramps instead of over them — a grind or a stunt is worth far more than clearing the same obstacle flat.
- Watch the lane you're in a beat ahead of time; a pothole stalls your run just long enough for the pack to catch back up.
- Don't chase every boost if it breaks your combo — a long clean chain of tricks usually outscores a burst of speed.
It's a good fit for short, replayable sessions — one button to learn, but real room to improve your combo timing run after run.
