Knightmare Tower is an endless vertical climber from Juicy Beast Studio, the Canadian indie team behind the knight-with-a-jetpack style of game. You control a knight strapped to a rocket, fighting your way up a monster-infested tower to rescue a captured princess from whatever waits at the top. There's no walking around a level here — the whole game is about staying airborne and climbing before the screen catches up to you.
The core loop is a rhythm of dashing and swinging. You launch upward with a downward dash, slice through any bats, blobs or armored enemies in your path, and use the bounce off a kill to chain into the next dash before gravity pulls you back down into the bottom of the screen. Gold collected along the way is spent between runs on better swords, boots and potions, so later attempts climb noticeably higher and faster than your first few tries.
Controls
- Left/Right arrow keys or mouse movement — steer left and right
- Down arrow or left click — dash, the move that both attacks enemies below you and launches you higher
Tips
- Time your dash to connect with an enemy right as you fall past it — hitting something mid-dash gives a much bigger boost than dashing into empty air.
- Spend early gold on sword upgrades before boots or potions; a stronger sword clears enemies in fewer hits, which keeps your dash chain going longer.
- Don't fight the horizontal drift — steering into open lanes between enemies is usually safer than trying to clear a crowded column.
It's a quick pick-up-and-play session game: runs are short, each one ends when you fall too far behind the rising screen, and the upgrade shop gives you a reason to come back for one more climb.
