Icy Purple Head 2 strips a physics puzzler down to one idea and then builds forty-odd tricky rooms around it. Your character can exist in exactly two states: a sticky purple blob that grips whatever it touches and stops dead, or a slick ice block that slides freely and picks up speed on any slope. There's no jumping, no combat, nothing to collect — just you, gravity, and the timing of a single click.
Each level is a short obstacle run toward a cardboard delivery box. Ramps, fans, spinning blades and moving platforms are arranged so that neither state alone gets you through — you need to be ice while coasting down an incline, then flip to purple the instant you land so you don't slide straight into a hazard. Levels are short enough to retry immediately, which keeps the difficulty from ever feeling unfair even when a single mistimed click sends you back to the start.
Controls
Hold the mouse button (or press and hold on a touchscreen) to become ice; release it to turn sticky purple again. That's the entire control scheme — every puzzle in the game is built from when you press and when you let go.
Tips
- Switch to ice just before a ramp, not on it — the earlier you commit to sliding, the more speed you carry into the next section.
- Fans only push the ice state. If you're stuck under one as purple, nothing happens; flip to ice to catch the airflow.
- When you overshoot a platform mid-air, releasing the click to go purple the moment you touch down often saves the run — sticky purple stops your momentum instantly.
- If a level has a blade or laser gate, look for the narrow purple-only window between hazards rather than trying to slide through as ice.
It's a good pick for short bursts — most levels take under a minute once you know the layout, and instant respawns mean there's no downtime between attempts.
