About Frogger

This is a browser build of the classic hop-across-the-road-and-river formula: get a frog from the bottom of the screen to one of the open lily-pad slots at the top, alive. The middle strip is traffic — cars and trucks moving at different speeds in each lane — and the strip above that is a river, where the only way across is by riding logs and turtles instead of swimming, since touching open water ends the run instantly.

Each life is really a short puzzle: read the lane speeds before committing, and on the river, track which floating objects are drifting toward the bank versus away from it. Filling all the top slots with frogs clears the level and pushes the pace up a notch for the next one.

Controls

  • Arrow keys — hop one space up, down, left or right
  • F — toggle

Tips

  • Wait for a gap rather than threading a hop between two cars — one bad guess costs the whole life.
  • On the river, jump toward the center of a log or turtle's back, not its edge, so a shift in its speed doesn't drop you in the water.
  • Diving turtles submerge on a rhythm — watch one cycle before you commit to riding it.

Runs in the browser with nothing to install — good for short, focused sessions rather than a long sitting.

Frogger FAQ

What are the controls?
Use the arrow keys to hop the frog one space up, down, left or right. Press F to toggle fullscreen.
What happens if I land in the water?
You lose that life. You can only cross the river safely by riding logs and turtles, not by swimming.
How do I clear a level?
Get a frog into each of the open slots at the top of the screen. Once they're all filled, the level ends and the next one speeds up.
Do I need to install anything to play?
No — it runs directly in the browser with nothing to download.
