Free The Key Game

Free The Key is a classic sliding block puzzle where your objective is to slide obstacles out of the way to clear a path for the golden key. The key sits on a grid filled with interlocking horizontal and vertical blocks that prevent it from reaching the exit on the right side of the board. You'll need to shuffle these blocks back and forth to open up a clear lane.

The puzzles require spatial reasoning and patience. Since blocks can only move along their long axis—horizontal pieces move left and right, while vertical pieces move up and down—getting the right pieces out of the way often means shifting a long chain of blocks first. There are no timers, so you can solve each layout at your own pace.

Controls

The game uses intuitive drag-and-drop mechanics:

• Slide Blocks: Click and drag (or touch and drag) any movable block to slide it along its track.
• Move the Key: Once the path is clear, drag the golden key all the way to the exit to complete the level.

Tips

If you're stuck on a tricky level, try working backward from the exit. Look at the block that is directly blocking the exit, figure out where it needs to slide, and then determine what blocks are preventing that move. Focusing on clearing the immediate bottleneck often reveals the rest of the solution.
