About Flipside

Flipside is a Nitrome racing game with one gimmick that changes everything: get your motorbike up to speed and it flips onto the ceiling. Push through 15 races where the track isn't just the road in front of you — it's the road upside down above it too.

The actual racing is straightforward arcade stuff — gun it, dodge the pack, cross the line first — but the ceiling-flip is what you use to cut corners and slip past opponents who are stuck driving the normal way. Bring a friend and the same trick works in local two-player races on one screen.

Controls

Move with A and D or the left and right arrow keys. Jump with spacebar or the up arrow key.

Tips

  • Build up speed before you try to flip — the ceiling trick only kicks in once you're going fast enough.
  • Use the ceiling to bypass traffic on tight sections rather than fighting through the pack at ground level.
  • In two-player races, watch your opponent's lane — flipping past them at the wrong moment can cost you the pass instead of winning it.
