Eat.io drops you into a frantic multiplayer cityscape where you control a wandering black hole with a single goal: consume everything. You start as a tiny void, barely large enough to swallow pedestrians, benches, and fire hydrants. The timer ticks down as you race to grow your mass, competing against players who are trying to out-eat you and dominate the arena.
The core loop is pure arcade chaos. As your black hole expands, your appetite scales up from streetlights to cars, then entire buildings and skyscrapers. The most satisfying mechanic is hunting down rival players. If your diameter is larger than theirs, you can swallow them whole, instantly boosting your score and knocking them out of the competition for a brief respawn period.
Controls
The controls are entirely movement-based and work across desktop and mobile devices. Use your mouse, trackpad, or touchscreen to drag and steer your black hole around the map. There are no buttons to press—just smooth, continuous movement.
Tips
- Target dense areas early: Ignore players at the start. Focus on crowded parks or parking lots where you can quickly vacuum up dozens of small objects to get your first size upgrade.
- Trap opponents: Use the edges of the map to your advantage. If you are larger than another player, herd them into a corner where they cannot maneuver around you.
- Size matters: You can only eat objects and players smaller than your current radius. If you try to consume a building that is too large, you will just bump into it and lose precious time.
Whether you are looking for a quick two-minute distraction or want to climb to the top of the lobby leaderboard, Eat.io delivers a fast-paced and highly satisfying competitive experience.
