Dumb Ways to Die 2 sends you sprinting through a string of tiny, silly hazard-avoidance challenges built around the Metro Trains rail-safety cartoon that went viral years ago. Instead of one continuous level, the game is split into themed areas — a drowning pool, a frozen town, a jungle campsite, a stadium and more — and each one throws a rapid sequence of one-off scenarios at you: dodge a falling anvil, keep a whale's teeth clean, steer someone away from a cliff.
The joke is that you barely have time to read what's happening before you have to react. Clear a challenge and the next one loads immediately, usually faster than the last, so a session is less about mastering any single skill and more about staying calm while the game keeps raising the tempo.
Controls
This browser build is mouse-only: click and hold or click targets with the left mouse button to react to each scenario. There's no keyboard input and no tilt controls here — those exist in the mobile app version, but the browser port keeps everything to a single click.
Tips
- You get a small number of lives per area, so a couple of failed reactions in a row can end the run — treat the first challenge in a new area as a chance to read the pattern before it speeds up.
- Points earned from clearing challenges convert into tickets, which unlock new characters — there's no harm in replaying an area you've already cleared just to farm a few more.
- Watch the cursor prompt closely each time a new mini-scenario pops up; several of them reuse the same click gesture for very different outcomes, and reacting on instinct instead of reading first is the most common way to lose a life.
It's a good fit for short bursts rather than long sessions — a few minutes bouncing between areas is enough to see the joke land a dozen different ways.
