Cursed Treasure is a tower defense game with the roles reversed: you play the villain, and your job is to stop a parade of knights, wizards and dwarves from stealing three gems out of your lair. Each level is a fixed path (or set of paths) leading to your treasure, and you place monster towers along the way to grind the invaders down before they reach the gems.
The twist that makes it more than a reskin is scoring: killing an enemy before it reaches a gem earns gold, but letting an enemy reach and "convert" a gem turns it to stone and locks away a chunk of your potential score for that level, even if you eventually win. So the real game isn't just survival, it's greed management — deciding how far to push for a perfect no-losses clear versus playing it safe.
Controls
Mouse only. Click a tower icon to select it, then click a spot along the path to build. Click an existing tower to upgrade or sell it. Spells and abilities are activated the same way, by clicking their icon and then a target on the map.
Tips
- Blade towers hit hardest per gold spent early on, but Poison towers are worth mixing in against armored dwarves and tougher late-level units that shrug off single big hits.
- Spider (web) towers slow enemies without dealing much damage — put them near the start of a path so your damage towers get more hits in before anything reaches your gems.
- Upgrading a tower you already own is often cheaper per point of extra damage than building a new one, especially once a path is already lined with towers.
- If a level lets you choose which gem to lose, sacrifice a gem you've already lost in a previous attempt rather than one that's still intact — the stone conversion is permanent for that playthrough.
It's a good fit for anyone who likes classic path-based tower defense but wants a game that rewards optimizing a clear run, not just surviving one.
