About Burnout Drift: Hilltop

Burnout Drift: Hilltop is a 3D drifting game from BoneCracker Games, the studio behind the Realistic Car Controller asset that powers a lot of browser racers. You take a custom car up winding mountain roads across three courses — Rocky Pass, the exposed Ridge, and a snow-covered Winter Pass — and the goal isn't to cross a finish line first, it's to hold a drift through every corner without clipping the roadside.

Each sustained slide builds a score multiplier that keeps climbing the longer you stay sideways, and drops back to zero the moment you touch a wall or barrier. Coins earned per run go into tuning the car's suspension and body angle for better handling, repainting it and swapping alloys, or eventually buying a faster car outright.

Controls

  • W/S or Up/Down arrow — gas / brake
  • A/D or Left/Right arrow — steer
  • Space — handbrake
  • F — NOS boost
  • Hold G — slow motion
  • I — start/stop engine
  • Left Shift / Left Ctrl — gear up/down

Tips

  • Tap the handbrake right before the apex so the tail comes around early, then feed in throttle to hold the slide through the rest of the turn.
  • Chain drifts from one corner into the next to keep the multiplier climbing — a clean run through a whole sequence of bends is worth far more than any single drift.
  • Save NOS for the straight sections between corners so you carry extra speed into the next drift instead of burning it mid-turn.
  • Spend early coins on suspension and body angle adjustments before cosmetics — handling changes affect your score more than paint does.

It suits players who like scoring-focused driving over head-to-head racing — short, replayable runs where the point is a cleaner drift than your last one.

Burnout Drift: Hilltop FAQ

What are the controls for Burnout Drift: Hilltop?
On keyboard, use W/S or the up/down arrows to gas and brake, A/D or left/right arrows to steer, Space for the handbrake, F for NOS, and hold G to trigger slow motion.
How does the drift scoring work?
You earn points for every sustained drift, and the longer you hold the slide the higher your score multiplier climbs — touching the roadside resets it back to zero.
What can I upgrade or customize?
Coins earned from racing let you adjust your car's suspension and body angle, repaint it and change alloys, or save up for a different car entirely.
How many tracks does it have?
Three — Rocky Pass, Ridge, and Winter Pass — each with its own layout and weather.
