About Break the Siesta

Break the Siesta is a one-button platformer built around a single running joke: your character would rather nap than do anything else, and only spicy food keeps him on his feet. Each level is a climb toward a giant chili pepper waiting near the top — get there before the drowsiness wins.

Along the way you pick up smaller peppers that top up your energy, while patches of water and milk work against you and push you closer to falling asleep. It's a short, snappy loop that suits quick sessions rather than long ones: jump, grab chilies, dodge the wet stuff, repeat.

Controls

Jump with the Space bar, a mouse click, or a tap on touchscreens — that's the entire control scheme.

Tips

  • Don't skip peppers for a faster route — they're what keeps your character from dozing off mid-jump.
  • Watch for water and milk on the way up; touching either works against you, so it's worth timing jumps to avoid them rather than rushing through.

It's built for one-handed, pick-up-and-play sessions on desktop or mobile rather than a long-form platformer.
