Bloons Tower Defense 2 takes the classic formula of the original hit and expands it with crucial new strategic elements. As the commander of a monkey army, your goal is to stop waves of colored balloons from reaching the exit. This sequel introduces staple defenses like the Boomerang Monkey and Road Spikes, forcing you to rethink your placement strategies as the bloon paths get more complicated.
You begin each map with limited cash to establish a basic perimeter of Dart Monkeys. As you pop bloons and survive rounds, your income grows, allowing you to purchase specialized towers or invest in upgrades. Managing your economy is key, as later waves introduce faster bloons and new types that require specific countermeasures to pop.
Controls
- Mouse: Click to select a tower from the right menu, then click again on the map to place it. Click placed towers to view and purchase their upgrades.
Tips
- Maximize Tack Shooters: Never place Tack Shooters on straight lines. Position them tightly inside loops or sharp corners so all eight of their darts hit the track.
- Embrace Boomerangs: The Boomerang Monkey is excellent for crowd control. Its arcing projectiles can slice through dense clusters of bloons that would overwhelm standard Dart Monkeys.
- Start Small: Do not save all your money for a Super Monkey right away. Build a strong, upgraded frontline of cheaper towers to ensure no early bloons leak through.
