Block the Pig Game

Block the Pig is a clever turn-based puzzle game where your goal is to trap a moving pig on a hexagonal grid. In each turn, you place a stone block on an empty space, and the pig takes one step toward the edge of the board. If the pig manages to reach the outer edge, it escapes and the level is lost. The challenge lies in predicting the pig's path, as it will always automatically take the shortest available route to freedom.

The first few levels ease you into the mechanics, but the grid quickly becomes more open and the pig's escape routes multiply. You'll need to carefully examine the layout and plan multiple moves in advance, corralling the pig into a smaller and smaller area until it has nowhere left to go.

Play with the mouse or touch screen. Click or tap any empty hexagonal tile to place a stone block.

Tips for trapping the pig

• Build a wide net: Instead of placing blocks directly next to the pig, place them further away to seal off the outer edges first.
• Watch for bottlenecks: Look for narrow paths on the grid and block them early to cut off multiple escape routes with a single stone.
• Use existing obstacles: Many levels start with a few stones already on the board. Incorporate them into your wall to save moves.
