99 Balls takes the aim-and-fire satisfaction of a brick breaker and turns it into a one-shot puzzle. Rows of numbered rings creep down the screen, each number telling you how many hits it takes to pop. Drag back to set your angle, let go, and a volley of balls streaks out, bouncing off the walls and each before scattering back down toward your launcher. Line up a shot that clips three or four rings on its way through and you can feel the whole board tip in your favor in a single throw.
The pressure comes from the descent: every miss is a wasted turn, and every turn the rows creep one step closer to the bottom of the screen. Knock out a ring completely and it sometimes drops a small orb — grab those and your next volley fires with an extra ball, which is really the only lever you have for keeping pace as the numbers climb.
Controls
Click and drag your cursor to aim, then release to fire. On mobile or tablet, drag your finger back on the screen and lift it to shoot.
Tips
- Angle your shots off the side walls instead of firing straight down — a bounced ball can clip rings your direct line would miss entirely.
- Go for the orb drops early. A bigger volley of balls per shot matters more than clearing any single high-number ring in the opening rows.
- Watch for narrow gaps between rings; a ball that gets funneled into one will bounce back and forth for extra hits instead of sailing straight past.
It runs entirely in the browser with nothing to install, and each round is short enough to fit into a spare minute or two.
