Penalty Rivals Game

Penalty Rivals is a five-round penalty shootout by Happylander Ltd, the studio behind Bowling Champion and Bottle Flip Challenge. You pick a team on the SELECT TEAM screen, then work through a knockout run — GAME 1/5, GAME 2/5, a quarter final, a semi final, and finally the FINAL — trying to outscore an AI rival at penalties. Win the last kick and you get the CHAMPIONS! screen; lose and it's TRY AGAIN!.

Every round alternates between the two halves of a shootout: you take kicks, then you dive to save the AI's. Both sides come down to timing and aim rather than reflexes alone, so a round can swing on a single well-placed shot or a well-guessed dive.

Controls

Mouse or touch only. When shooting, aim and set your shot's power and spin by dragging or swiping toward where you want the ball to go — the game's own HOW TO SHOOT screen walks through this before your first kick. When goalkeeping, swipe or click toward a side of the goal to dive and make the save, as shown on the HOW TO SAVE screen.

Tips

• Aim for the corners rather than straight at the keeper — placement beats raw power here.
• Mix up where you shoot round to round; a predictable pattern makes the AI keeper's dives easier.
• When saving, watch the buildup to the kick rather than guessing early — diving too soon leaves you committed to the wrong side.

It runs entirely in the browser, so a shootout is ready whenever you have a couple of minutes to spare.
