Ludo Multiplayer is a browser version of the classic cross-shaped dice race, the game most people know from Ludo boards or its ancestor Pachisi. Up to four players each take a color, and the goal is the same one it has always been: get all four of your tokens out of your yard, around the track, and home before anyone else does.
A turn is quick - roll the die, then move a token if you can - which is what makes a match easy to pick up for a few minutes between things, even though a full game with all four colors in play can run longer. The tension comes from the dice: a six lets you bring a new token onto the board or gives you another roll, and every square you land on is a chance to send an opponent's token back to their base, or to get sent back yourself.
Controls
Tap or click the die to roll it, then tap or click the token you want to move. The game only lets you pick a token that can legally move with the number you rolled.
Tips
- Don't rush every token out at once - keeping one or two in your yard until you roll a six for an extra turn can be more useful than crowding the board early.
- Landing two of your own tokens on the same square blocks opponents from passing, so use that to guard a chokepoint near your entrance.
- Star squares are safe - opponents can't capture you there, so hop between them when you're exposed instead of sitting on an open square.
- Once a token is close to home, prioritize walking it in over chasing a risky capture further back on the board.
It's a good fit for a short, low-pressure session, and just as easy to play solo against the computer as it is to hand the mouse around with friends on the same screen.
