About Gun Mayhem

Gun Mayhem is a chaotic arena shooter that throws away health bars in favor of physics-based knockbacks. Like classic platform fighters, the only way to eliminate an opponent is to blast them right off the edge of the screen. Whether you are facing off against relentless AI in the campaign or crowding around a keyboard for local multiplayer, it is a game of constant movement, unpredictable weapon drops, and sudden gravity-induced defeats.

A typical match starts with standard pistols, but wooden crates quickly begin falling from the sky. Cracking these open equips you with devastating shotguns, rapid-fire miniguns, and explosives that completely alter the arena's balance. Managing your jumps and prioritizing these weapon drops over blind aggression is the real key to surviving the mayhem.

Controls

  • Move: Arrow keys to run left and right.
  • Jump: Up arrow to jump. Press it again in mid-air to double jump and recover from falls.
  • Drop: Down arrow to fall through soft platforms.
  • Shoot: Z key (or Left Click) to fire your equipped weapon.
  • Bomb: X key to throw explosives.

Tips

  • Save your double jump: Never use your second jump just to move around. Keep it in reserve so you can recover if an opponent shoots you off the stage.
  • Control the crates: The player with the better weapon dictates the pace of the match. Always make a run for falling weapon crates.
  • Use bombs for edge-guarding: When an enemy is trying to jump back onto the platform, toss a bomb near the ledge to blow them back out.

Gun Mayhem shines brightest when playing with friends. The frantic pace and simple controls make it the perfect game for settling quick rivalries during short breaks.

Gun Mayhem FAQ

How do you win a match in Gun Mayhem?
In Gun Mayhem, players do not have health bars. To win, you must shoot your opponents or use explosives to knock them entirely off the floating platforms and off the screen.
Can I play Gun Mayhem with my friends?
Yes! Gun Mayhem features local multiplayer that allows up to four players to battle each other simultaneously on the same keyboard in Custom Match mode.
What is the best way to recover if I fall off?
Every character has a double jump. The best recovery strategy is to use your first jump to gain height, move towards the stage, and then use your second jump at the last possible moment to grab the ledge.
