Cars Lightning Speed Game

Cars Lightning Speed is a licensed racer set in the world of Pixar's Cars, built by developer Playerthree. You create your own racer — give it a short name, pick a look — and take on Lightning McQueen, Francesco Bernoulli and a full grid of racers across tracks in the USA, Brazil, Japan, Germany and Italy.

Your car keeps moving forward on its own; the actual skill is steering side to side to dodge obstacles, stay on the road, and sweep up the lightning bolts that fill your boost meter. Prize money from toolboxes you collect along the way goes straight into cosmetic and performance upgrades back in the garage, so a strong run pays off in the next one too.

Tips

• Grab every toolbox you pass on the track — the cash from them is what funds new upgrades, not just race winnings.
• Lightning bolts fill your boost gauge, so it's worth drifting slightly off the racing line to collect a cluster of them instead of skipping past.
• New to the game? Rookie mode loosens up the handling and fills your boost meter faster while you learn the tracks.

It's a pick-up-and-play arcade racer built for short sessions, and it runs in the browser on desktop or mobile with nothing to install.
