About Battle Golf

Battle Golf turns the quiet, patient sport of golf into a chaotic head-to-head sprint. Two players stand on opposite sides of a water hazard, swinging simultaneously at a single hole that spawns in the middle. The goal isn't to take careful strokes, but to simply sink your ball into the cup before your opponent does. The holes appear in wild locations—balanced on a whale's blowhole, strapped to a submarine, or guarded by aggressive seagulls.

Timing is everything. A single button controls both your aim and your swing power. You have to stop an oscillating arrow at the correct angle, then stop a power meter at the right strength to land the shot. The frantic pace often means you'll collide balls in mid-air or accidentally hit your opponent straight in the head, stunning them for a precious few seconds while you line up your next attempt.

Controls

  • Player 1 (Left Side): Press A to lock the angle, then A again to set power and shoot.
  • Player 2 (Right Side): Press L to lock the angle, then L again to set power and shoot.

Tips

  • If you miss the timing on your angle, let the arrow swing back rather than taking a wild shot that wastes time.
  • Aiming straight for the opponent's head is a viable strategy; stunning them gives you a free shot without the pressure of a race.
  • Watch out for moving targets like the whale or the octopus, which will require you to lead your shot slightly.

Battle Golf FAQ

How do you win in Battle Golf?
You need to sink your golf ball into the center hole before your opponent does. The first player to reach the target score, usually 5 points, wins the match.
Can I play Battle Golf by myself?
Yes, there is a single-player mode where you try to sink as many balls as possible before the timer runs out, but the game is best known for its local two-player versus mode.
What happens if you hit the other player in Battle Golf?
If you aim for your opponent and hit them in the head with your golf ball, they will be temporarily stunned and unable to shoot, giving you a massive advantage.
