Controls

Tips

• Crosshatch for single candidates: Pick a number (like 9) and scan the entire board for it. If you see a 3x3 square missing a 9, check the intersecting rows and columns to rule out empty spaces until only one valid spot remains.
• Use pencil marks wisely: When a cell has only two possible numbers, write them down. If you find two cells in the same row or block that share the exact same pair of candidates, you can safely eliminate those two numbers from all cells in that group.
