Descent is a one-tap drop game from Sakkat Studio. Your character hangs from a rope over a rocky shaft, and tapping lets go of the current hold to swing down toward the next one. The whole run is a straight fall through a rock-walled well lined with jagged spike clusters, so timing that single tap is the entire game.
A run doesn't last long, but it doesn't need to — you're chasing a slightly deeper drop or a slightly better score each time, grabbing coins on the way down and watching a hawk swoop in from above to complicate your timing. It resets fast when you miss, which keeps the loop feeling more like a quick reflex challenge than a long session.
Controls
- Tap the screen (or click, on desktop) to release your current hold and drop to the next one. That's the whole control scheme.
Tips
- Look at the spike pattern before you tap — the length and spacing of each cluster tells you exactly when the safe gap opens up.
- The drop speed and the number of obstacles both increase the deeper you go, so don't get comfortable with the rhythm from the first few seconds.
- Grab coins on your way down when they line up with your drop, but don't chase one off the safe line — a missed tap ends the run instantly.
A short first run shows a quick tutorial before you're on your own, and there's a vibration toggle for anyone playing on a phone.
